How it Works
How it Works
The Temple Card functions as a separate, custodial wallet within your Temple interface. Unlike your main Temple address (which is self-custodial and backed up by your seed phrase), the Temple Card balance is managed by Kolo.
- Open the "Card" widget inside your Temple Wallet.
- Complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process required by banking regulations.
- Send crypto from your main Temple Wallet to your Temple Card address.
- Add the virtual card to your phone's wallet (Apple/Google Pay) and tap to pay.
Important: The Temple Card utilizes a custodial wallet solution provided by Kolo. You cannot back up this specific wallet with a seed phrase. All personal data and card details are stored securely on Kolo's side; Temple Wallet does not store your personal information.

F.A.Q.
F.A.Q.
Here are the most common questions regarding the Temple Card.
I created a Kolo wallet/card in the Telegram app, but I can't see it when I log into Temple. Why?
The Temple Wallet Card acts as a separate wallet. It is designed specifically for use within the Temple interface but functions as an additional account (usually the second wallet in your list) connected to the Kolo ecosystem. To see your balance or card details, ensure you are viewing the correct wallet section or open the Kolo widget.
How do I top up my Temple Wallet Card?
Open the widget in Temple, select the "Top-up" action, and choose your desired cryptocurrency (e.g., XTZ, USDT, USDC). You will be given a specific address to send funds to. You can send tokens directly from your main Temple account on chains like Tezos, Ethereum, BNB, or Arbitrum.
Note: The minimum top-up amount for Tezos is 5 XTZ.
Can I spend crypto if I hold multiple tokens, or must I convert to fiat first?
You do not need to convert crypto to EUR manually. The card automatically converts the necessary amount of crypto into fiat currency at the exact moment of your transaction. You only need to convert if you intend to send funds to an IBAN or another bank card.
Can the card balance go negative?
No. It is a debit card, not a credit card. If your balance is insufficient to cover the purchase and fees, the operation will be automatically rejected.
What happens if I send money to someone else's card?
In the app, there is a strict warning to "send money only on a card with my name". Transfers to third-party cards may be monitored or blocked by the banking partner. In the worst-case scenario, funds sent to a card not registered in your name may be lost.
Is my personal data safe with Temple?
Temple Wallet does not store or process your personal information. All KYC data, identity documents, and card details are processed and stored entirely on Kolo's secure servers in compliance with financial regulations.
