How to swap tokens on Hanji

Learn how to easily swap tokens on the Hanji DEX with this step-by-step guide. Use the multichain Temple Wallet to connect and trade assets across Tezos and EVM blockchains like Etherlink.

1. Open the Hanji website

Open the official Hanji website using this link: https://hanji.io/

2. Click on the Start Trading Now button

Click on the Start Trading Now button to open the trading terminal.

3. Open the Swap page

In this guide, we will not use the full trading terminal with order book, limit, and market orders, but we will concentrate on the simpler swap feature that is also available on Hanji.

Click on the Swap option in the menu in the top left corner of the screen.

4. Click on the Connect Wallet button

Click on the Connect Wallet button, which is located under the swap window in the middle of the page.

5. Choose Temple Wallet

In the opened Sign in menu, click on the Temple Wallet to connect your wallet.

If you don't have a wallet that supports Etherlink, click here to install Temple Wallet.

6. Click on the Connect button

After the Temple Wallet pop-up window opens, click on the Connect button to connect your Temple Wallet to the Hanji dApp.

7. Choose the input Token

Click on the Select token in the top row of the swap window to open the selection menu with available tokens to select as the input token.

For our example, we will use the XTZ token.

8. Choose the output Token

Click on the Select token in the bottom row of the swap window to open the selection menu with available tokens to select as the output token.

For our example, we will use the WETH token.

9. Input the amount of tokens

Click on the input field in the token on the top and input the amount of the selected token that you want to swap to your output token. After you have typed in the input token amount, the output token amount will be calculated automatically.

If you want to swap the maximum available amount of tokens, drag the slider under the input field to 100%.

For our example, we will input 2 XTZ, and the 0.000503 WETH is calculated automatically.

10. Start the Swap process

Click on the Swap button to proceed with your swap transaction.

11. Confirm the transaction in the Temple Wallet

Click on the Confirm button in the pop-up menu of the Temple Wallet.

12. Wait for the completion of the swap

Wait until your transaction is confirmed on the Etherlink blockchain. You will be greeted with the Transaction Completed notification in the bottom right corner of the page. Most of the time, it takes no longer than a couple of seconds.
